Last Pixelhunters short 3D movie showcased at Abu Dhabi International Sculpture Symposium
The last Pixelhunters short 3D movie "7 Wonders of the world" has been showcased at the Inaugural Ceremony of Abu Dhabi International Sculpture Symposium "ADISS - BRIDGING SOCIETIES THROUGH THE LANGUAGE OF ART".
ADISS 2010 – a cultural event to showcase public art and sculpture in the capital of the U.A.E.
ADISS was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, who is dedicated to establishing Abu Dhabi as the cultural center of the Middle East, in line with his 2030 vision.
This unique event was brought to Abu Dhabi under the direction of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan - the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of Zayed University (ZU). Sheikh Nahayan is committed to bringing together culture and education through ADISS, under the theme of "Bridging Societies Through the Language of Art".
ADISS 2010 was held and organized under the umbrella of Zayed University - an internationally accredited university with campuses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai - in collaboration with Salwa Zeidan Gallery, one of Abu Dhabi's eminent contemporary art spaces.
At the conclusion of the Symposium,there was a spectacular closing Ceremony. During the ceremony His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of Zayed University unveiled 17 pieces of art which were designed by the 17 world-renowned contemporary artists who participated in Adiss, transforming huge blocks of marble, granite and other preferred materials such as steel and stainless steel into the final distinguished pieces of art. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President of Zayed University, Khalifa Mohammad Al Mazroui, General Manager of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, Salwa Zeidan, Symposium Director of Adiss and the Director of the Salwa Zeidan Gallery, Mohammed Al Falasi, General Manager of the Armed Forces Officer's Club.
